Sippin a Blanche de Bruxelles at this very moment. Sometimes there's just a time for a brew rather than a wine - especially today, at least for me. Simce I've cut back to 3 days a week at the shop, I have some extra time on my hands. I have a friend who has a winery here in MA (all vinifera grapes - no fruit) and I've been doing farmers markets on my days off. Today was a day of high heat and high humidity, and a beer is just what's perfect now.

If we don't get some soaking rain soon, beer will be the only liquid to find in the Finger Lakes. This is one hellava drought for us. Not the first, but certainly the worst I've experienced in the 28 years living here...and in parts of Europe, they are not going to have summer.
