2009 First Press

Picked this up last week to try at first opportunity and took to a dinner party where pot roast was the entree' (also took Clos du Val and a CdR - Delas - which I've posted on earlier).

Was surprised by the First Press - had not expected much of a cheapo cab, although had read a nice review of it somewhere. It definitely exceeded my expectations and it went very well with the pot roast, boding well for an ability to handle a steak later on. But for $10.99?!

Bought more today.

Had another tonight with left-over filet mignon she found in the freezer, with roasted brocolli, spuds, carrots...... previous perception confirmed, very nice, worth double the amount paid.
