i have a wooden box with 3 bottles of Masi wine. 1968 bardolino, 1969 valpolicella and 1970 soave. the set was stored upright in a cool basement and is all in pristine condition with the exception of the wax seal being broken to open the box.

Well, the cool basement storage was a good thing. Upright wasn't because the bottles should be stored on their sides for long term to keep the corks from drying out. Regardless, these wines have been dead for a long time. They should have been drunk about 35 years ago.
