I live in Seattle, and have about 40 various bottles I keep on a wood rack in a dark corner of my basement. In the summer the temp never rises above 60, and humidity I'm sure ranges from 50-70 or more. In the winter, the temp may hit the low 40s, and the humidity tends to pretty low (20-40) I think. I've got a wines, many Washington/California reds, and a few Brunellos. What are the ramifications of a bottle sitting in that same spot for say 3-4 years.

None -- temperature variations are only harmful if occuring rapidly. I have a purely passive cellar down Olympia way and stays around 60 degrees constantly.

Yeah, I think those temperature swings over that period of time will not hurt the wine.
