Does anybody know what this wine is ?

The label reads :
Grand vin des cotes de provence
BAPTISTIN CARACOUS

Whilst I do not anticipate it having any value as such - I am intrigued by the apparent age of the bottle and can find no reference to it anywhere on the 'web

Hi Aitch, and welcome to the Wine Board. Is there a date on it? If not, it is a non-vintage Cote De Provence. These are usually blends of grenache and mourvedre. If it is really old (say more than ten or twelve years) it is probably over the hill. Recommend you pop it very soon, and have something else in reserve. You would have a very, very hard time selling it.
