Hello,

I went away for two weeks, returned yesterday, looked in on this site to discover that the green lights no longer showed up at all and that I could not post on the site.

I had to sign-up as a new poster, so now I am Thomas2.

Now that I am re signed up, the green lights seem to be working.

Incidentally, Alex, the changes look great and the site appears to be working wonderfully.

Alex,

It's probably my fault. I was asked to log in but I have so many passwords that I can't remember all of them anymore.

I think the password system needs someone creative to come up with a better idea.

Hi Thomas,

That's right. The green lights don't appear until you sign in (makes sense... the system doesn't know who you are or when you last visited until you sign in, which activates cookies).

But there should be a way for you to request your password be sent to your email, if you can't recall it. Alex is right that you shouldn't have to create a new profile just because you forgot your password. I'm sure they'll straighten it out for you and you can go back to your original profile and username. :-D

Jackie

Oddly, I miraculously remembered my old password and signed in as me today.

Now I hold two accounts here (a fact that I find a little disturbing) both of which I will likely screw up the next time a change is made and I am thrown off the site.
