I know John very well and he'd love to have us visit his lovely property. He showed us a great time with the group Nov-before-last. WW (Buehler)

I think the reference was to Ferris Bueller, not John Buehler.

Aye. Actually, we're planning on coming in on Thursday the 20th. That way we can get some stuff in on Friday, as well as Sat and Sun.

Fine with me. Have you finalized on the motel? I'll check with you next week-end. WW

Since there seem to be no dissenting votes, it looks like we're looking at July 21, 22, 23 as the dates for the offline.

So, now where do we stay. My choice still would be the Best Western in Santa Rosa. The prices are reasonable - if arrival is Thursday, July 20 and checkout is Monday, July 24, the cost would be $388. That's substantially lower than just about everywhere else, and it's really just a place for sleeping. We're not going there for a resort atmosphere. Also, it's centrally located in Sonoma County at the intersection of Rt. 101 and Rt. 12. It has easy access to roads to get us over to Napa and back. Anyway, that's my recommendation. If there are any other recs that can keep us in the budget and locate us in easy access to Napa and Sonoma, let's hear them.

This thread is getting a bit long. I'll start a new thread to coordinate our trip. Let's call it "WineBoard Excursion to Napa/Sonoma".

Deirdre, my friend from Regis Martin, will be posting strawcase itinerary & will help people individually with air flights, etc.

Check out the new thread to continue this topic.
