Green Valley, Russian River Valley, CA
15.1% alcohol special 3-pack or 2008 Pinots with one from Shea Vineyard, OR and one from Aubaine Vineyard along the Central Coast, CA. Each wine was offered at only $19.99 per bottle.
Deep purple color. Opaque. Dark fruit fragrances and flavors. Shows a little heat from the alcohol but seems to display a good fruit/acid balance. To my mind it worked better as a stand-alone sipper than as a food wine.
I spilled about 4 oz. of the wine when I accidentally tipped over the wine glass on the kitchen counter but fortunately the Riedel burgundy glass didn't break and the wine splattered mostly on the sink, not my clothes or the kitchen floor.
I may save the Shea and Aubaine wines until 2011 or 2012. I sometimes enjoy LWC wines four years after the harvest date.

Great call WOW. This sucker 'kaint git no better! Found in the deep recesses of the cellar and glad it got lost. Tasty as all git-out and has enough stuffing to hold another 5-8. WW
