We tried this and picked up the bottle in McMinnville during our last trip to the Willamette Valley in August '06. This wine comes from Amity's estate fruit, and the vines date back the the seventies. Decanted 20 minutes before 1st pour. Dark garnet in color. Nose of red cherries and plums. Flavors follow nose, adding some earth and piney notes on the finish. Anne found it a touch hot on the back end, probably due to the 15.5% alc. Not great, but a decent Pinot. It was the second Pinot of the night, and it fell well below the Russian Hill I posted on today. It ran us around $28.
