Back in Toronto so off to the local LCBO on Front Street.

Light garnet to ruby red in colour, almost transparent. Nose of wood and some spices. Taste of wood and some light cherries with some rough tannins. There is a bit of hotness at the end. A bit unbalanced right now but feels like it could come together a bit with a little time. Light, bright, high acidity and mid length finish. Had this with a Club Sandwich which worked okay. A bit too oaky for me though.

Pickup up this bottle for about $12.99 or about $11USD

Oops...sorry.

Wine came from the Niagara wine region. I think specifically, it comes from an area called the Niagara Bench which is a bits away from the falls and the river. Some other wineries in the area have achieved successful followings including 30 Bench, Magnottia and Royal De Maria.

I also visited this winery earlier this year and did like their 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon. This one is significantly different than that wine.
