Rated 91 – (80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir; L49071): Bright orange-pink. Lively red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by notes of orange pith, pungent flowers and chalk. Sappy, penetrating citrus fruit and raspberry flavors pick up notes of anise and buttered toast with air and show very good clarity. Finishes spicy and long, with a lingering floral note. I’d serve this fine-grained Champagne with delicately seasoned Asian dishes or by itself – Antonio Galloni.
