Rated 91 – Disgorged in February 2017 with six grams per liter dosage, the NV Brut Rosé Effusion reveals a delicate bouquet of minty red apples, caramelized citrus peel and subtle hints of licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and understated palate that reveals lovely purity of fruit, ripe but racy acids and a fine, pinpoint mousse. It’s 92% Pinot Meunier and exemplifies the classy finesse that the variety unfailingly manifests in Moussé’s hands. It will be fascinating to follow its evolution under cork.
