Thot for sure I'd posted on this but didn't come up. Makes no difference because as much as I've loved and pimped this vineyard over the years if I'd had this bottle before I'da never opened this. Havbe no idea what happened but this rates as the WORST bottle I've opened in the last 5-10 years. For any of you that are on their wine club and own this PLEASE open a bottle forthwith and check. Maybe asomehow this sucker had some secondary fermentation problems but whatever it hit the drain after the first confirming sip. Nose wasn't mouldy but rather an odd aroma of smouldering garbage. If it's going thru a phase I'll give my remaining bottles plenty of time to recover. WW

Gee, Verne, you're slammin' a cab from SCMV? Never heard of such! Have two bottles snoozing, purchased from the club in April '09; one reviewer in CellarTracker raved about it, said it has a 30 year life and and gave it 95 pts. Sure hope yours was just a stinker.

One more time the wiener has hims tail betwixt his legs. Opened another bottle and sedentary aromas wafted up like the "angels share" looking for light. Solid entry, beefy middle and a 3&1/2 lapper finish. Pleeze accept me apologies Jeff! I shouda' known better. WW
