Little story first, Saturday night me and my partner was out at a karate competition and there was a raffle to ease Money for the club, I bought a few stops and won a bottle of white wine that seems a little of a mystery well to me anyway.

All of these wines were similar in color, specifically, the were all what I would call bricking and transparent. Much like a good '70's bordeaux, these wines are now devoid of any primary fruit, and are onto mostly secondary flavours and dried fruits and leathers, etc,. That said, all of the wines, except perhaps for the 90, were all in good shape and were a pleasure to taste.

Ethereal. Outstanding. While definitely recognizatble as a Musar next to its betherans, this one stood easily above the others. So wonderfully balanced, and complex, lithe yet powerful, not at the top of its game yet. Nose of dried fruits, figs and apricots, stone fruits, a nice bit of barnyard funk in this one, peppercorn, leather and hint of chocolate. This wine is a medium plus bottle but so much smoother than the rest. Great mouthfeel. good acidity in the structure but never protruding like the '90.

Showed what a classic Musar with some age on it could be like!!!! This was my wine of the night.]]>

This is nice. a nicely maturing musar that despite not being as good as the best in this vertical, has nicely accepted its role in impresssing the crap of the participants of this wine testing.

Again, a deeper bricking colour with jsut a hint of garnet red. This wine is still reaching for maturity but its close. Nose and palate of good dried cherry, dried fruits and berry, tobacco, cigar box, tar, leather. Good solid structure still.]]>

On the nose, dried red fruits, dirt, earth, dried clay, dried firewood, , perfumed and roses, hint of manure. on the Palate, this wine is one of the softer examples, still goo ddred fruits, cherry, spicesoft and subtle notes of dried red fruits, cinnamon, cherry, wild strawberry, and burnt orange peel. ASolid bottle, medium light bod but with medium plus acidity, Nicely complexity but a bit different than other Musars due to vintage.]]>

This is no little wine, having had this after a brace of Burgundies. On opening, rather close, but woke up. Poured a glass out, this thing is midnight dark, no opacity, dark fruits, big flabours, infanticide too but enjoyable too]]>
