Consumed at a 90th Birthday Party on Saturday. I was hesitant to take it to the event based on Wine Spectator's notes, but we all know they ain't the gods of wine, so I said what the heck. According to WS, its lacking grip...I am sorry, but that's nonsense/BS. I found it to be firm, tannic, cocoa/coffee, rich, with beautiful finish. Enjoyed with chocolate covered almonds. Was it the best 90's vintage? No, but a solid 92 on my notepad.

Nice, I agree, I've had a taste of this before and think that your notes are spot on.
