We picked this up last summer on our RRV trip. We just popped and poured last night -- no decanting or airing. Bright ruby in color, with a nose of crushed red berries and raspberry jam. A touch of spiciness on the nose, as well. Flavors are of red fruits, and without the lively acidity, it might have come across as syrupy sweet. Little or no tannins present. Super yummy stuff, and it would be a great foil for spicy summer BBQ fare. No real need to age it, as you're already getting a mature Zin that's drinking great. However, it'll likely be fine for the next 5 years or so. Pretty high 15.5% alc. that you don't taste, but you do notice it when you stand up to throw away the empty bottle. Anne offers, "Yummy." Pretty well sums it up. We paid about $25 at the winery as part of a multiple mixed case purchase. We've got 2 left that we'll enjoy in the next year or two.

Rod does have a deft hand with the grape. WW
