14.7% alcohol Paid $25.
Blackberry, brambleberry and pepper on the nose. Juicy blackberry, black raspberry in the flavors. Soft tannins, perhaps from contact with the grapeskins. Medium to long finish. Overall impression--very fruity, very juicy. I bought two bottles initially and may be purchasing again.

Wow (WondersofWine), Enjoyed this wine. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, at least the '02 I had. I bought it for the name "Noah". Seemed appropriate.

Noah is Noah Taylor (not the actor), son of Bob and Gloria Retzlaff Taylor. They're the owners of Retzlaff Winery in Livermore, and sort of neighbors when I lived out there. Nice folks and the wines are nice, too. Retzlaff does mainly Bordeaux varietals as well as Chard, and Noah wanted to do something different.

Brappy,

Now you know why I like the Rutherford Hill so much, right?
