- wondersofwine - 03-16-2006 14.7% alcohol Paid $25. Blackberry, brambleberry and pepper on the nose. Juicy blackberry, black raspberry in the flavors. Soft tannins, perhaps from contact with the grapeskins. Medium to long finish. Overall impression--very fruity, very juicy. I bought two bottles initially and may be purchasing again. - brappy - 03-19-2006 Wow (WondersofWine), Enjoyed this wine. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, at least the '02 I had. I bought it for the name "Noah". Seemed appropriate. mark - Kcwhippet - 03-19-2006 Noah is Noah Taylor (not the actor), son of Bob and Gloria Retzlaff Taylor. They're the owners of Retzlaff Winery in Livermore, and sort of neighbors when I lived out there. Nice folks and the wines are nice, too. Retzlaff does mainly Bordeaux varietals as well as Chard, and Noah wanted to do something different. - brappy - 03-19-2006 KC, My last name is Noah....... - robr - 03-19-2006 Brappy, Now you know why I like the Rutherford Hill so much, right?
