- newsguy - 11-10-2003 no detailed notes, as we drank this at a friend's house for dinner. short note: wow! my first renwood zin and it was a winner: wonderful, concentrated stuff. in the nose and in the mouth, a ton of ripe fruit, bordering on jammy, but with spices and other nuances and notes (including tea and oak),showing me that this bruiser is maturing and settling down. this was a big hit, and making it even sweeter was that i bought it a few months ago for $16 at my regular shop, which had it marked down 50% in a shelf clearance sale. guess some other folks were scared away by the off vintage. not me, and boy am i glad. WW - newsguy - 11-11-2003 WW, renwood is pretty hard to come by down here in FLA. so when i saw this, i jumped on it. - Kcwhippet - 11-11-2003 ww, I have one bottle left of the 93 Grandpere. It's been in the cellar for years and I just found it about a week ago. Still good, ya think? - winoweenie - 11-11-2003 To save you the embarrasement of pouring dreck for your friends, I'll give you my Fed Ex # and send it to me fer disposable(giggle, smirk, snort) WW - Kcwhippet - 11-11-2003 I'll make the supreme sacrifice and not pour any of that dreck for my friends. I'll consume that terrible excuse for a wine myself, probably gagging and choking the whole while. |
