85% Zin, 12% Petite Sirah and 3% Mataro(?). Attention raspberry fans. Spicy raspberry/dark fruit with brambly, underbrush flavors and scents intermixed with some hints of chocolate. Massive tannins swirling thru every drop. This is one of the wines we sipped thru New Years Eve into the New Year and it never calmed down. Needs a few years in the bottle to shine. I think the stuffing is there. 14.5%Alc/Vol. $20.

Haven't seen that one around here, but will sure look for it.

Matt Cline is a part owner and the winemaker for Trinitas. So, if you notice a similarity to Cline's stuff from a few years ago, that's the reason.

With one degree less alcohol, that would sound like my kind of Zinfandel.

Wondered if that was the same Cline, when I saw in a 'Net search that Trinitas is owned by Matt and Erin Cline. Did they sell out at Cline Vineyards a while back?

It looks like brothers Fred and Matt have parted ways. Fred's still the owner of Cline and Matt's name doesn't appear anywhere on their web site, even in the winery's history section. That would leave me to believe they're not on the best of terms.

That's too bad. Thanks, KC.
