Youse'all'll git tired of this thread as I'm in a tasting mode for cellar aquisitions of me fav new zin releases. This civilized product from Gallos' incredible Stefani vineyard left me quizzical. A lovely, soft, supple nose that promised lots more than was delivered on the palate. good entry with subtle fruit, cassis, and no intrusive heat. The middle palate was dissapointingly short and the finish was not an eye-opener. Was eager to try this babe so it may have been hurt by the fact it had all of 2 hours to recover from the trip from the purveyor. Will reserve judgement until I open the next bottle. At 22 per should be a bargain. WW

Sounds like the "New" Gallo, is falling into the "New" California Wine trend.
