Bought this at a steal at $10 per bottle case price. Old vine zin, big and oily (almost a late harvest style) with sweet raspberry cordial, underbrush and a touch of liqorish. Very long finish with a ton of very fine, sweet tannins. The one I sampled was 3 days open and incredibly balanced, elegant and rich. You've got to let this one sit for a while before serving. One of the better zins, not to mention a great QPR find, that I've had in a long while. And check out the alcohol...13.5% :

It runs $16 around here, less 10% by the box.

Sounds great, and I'll look for it around here. Steele is usually a pretty reliable producer, and I've frequently had good luck with their Pinots. Thanks for the post.
