2004 Easton, Amador County, Zinfandel ($14 from winery): Alcohol level: 14.5%. It gives you black cherries and blackberries on the nose and upfront. There is more luscious black fruit, spices, and pepper in the flavorful and intense complexity across the palate. There are some chewy but unresolved tannin. The finish goes on for awhile. It will be even better in one or two years.

We matched it with a pork tenderloin stir fry with carrots, snow peas, water chestnuts, and other veggies, seasoned with an augmented Hoisin sauce, over brown Basmati rice. Yum, yum!

We enjoyed this bottle in the past. Perhaps it's time to revisit.
