- Bucko - 09-17-2000 1998 Handley, Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley, $25, 190 cases. Loaded with ripe berry fruit, the wine also has a healthy dose of French oak flavors. The moderate tannins need a little bottle time to tame down. I'm a little disturbed at the amount of oak, which Handley has always used judiciously in previous wines. Bucko - Drew - 09-17-2000 You know, Bucko, I have always enjoyed Handley Pinot Noir but never tried their Zins....thanks for the one up! Drew - Bucko - 09-17-2000 I agree with you on the Pinots -- usually a nice job, year in and year out. Bucko |
