Deep dark red color, tending toward mahogany. Nose of black raspberries and blackberries. Taste of dark fruits, peppery spices. Intriguing, but the first night seemed too hot and peppery for my preferences. I thought it improved on the second day. This was a popular wine among the red wines served at last year's Pinehurst Wine Festival.
