My brother in law carted this over to Mom's on Thanksgiving for brunch...what a bruiser!
Big, bold flavors of dark zinberry, chocolate cherry, spice and cocoa. Very disjointed at this stage of it's life with massive coarse tannins on the slightly hot finish. I think it could develop into a very nice wine but needs 2 to 5, or more, to smooth out and come together. My sister was big time irritated that he bought a case of this at $36 per and a case of the Old Vines at $52 per at the winery last month. Will probably try the Old Vines around Xmas. Way over priced given what's in the bottle, IMHO. 15.6% Alc/vol.

Never heard of the feller there Drewski. Was it " Estate" or " Cellared and bottled"? Agree that is a most aggressive price for ANY zin seeing as the best and most ageworthy from Ridge, Scherrer, Cline, Biale, Nickel, Shelton, Seghesio, and Renwood are all from 20 to a high of 30 with the exception of Nickel which I don't intend to buy. Must be some kinda salesman in that tasting room!!!!!ww
