At the top of its' game. One of the better Napa merlots. Shows rite there with the Duckhorn 3 Palms. Having said this it still is a Napa merlot and faalls short against the Cabs. Unfined and unfiltered this was out of a total production of 175 cases. Deep purple, slight ruby edge. Lovely nose of violets, berries, and spice. Good entry, medium center and a 3+-lapper finish. One of the few times I've purchased wine without trying it. Think the vintage and low production influenced my judgement.
