Has anyone else tried Garry Farrel Merlot Russian River? Tasted it and was a little suprised at the gentleness and amazing amount of fruit. Personally, I prefer a little more backbone, but once a just enjoyed the wine for what it is rather than what I expected, it became better with each sip.
If anyone's looking for a pretty, fruity Merlot with just enough spine to hold it together, this is the one! Enjoy!

Quite frankly I'd like to try a Garry Farrel anything.

However, his wines seem quite difficult to find here in southeastern Virginia.
