A beautiful wine, with vibrant color and nose to match, soft and supple on the palate with a 15 second finish. Alcohol 13% and price of $13.99. Served with medallions of BEEF in a demiglaze with oven-roasted spuds and mixed veggies, leftovers from our anniversary dinner the night before at Ristorante Grisini in San Antonio.
Put Grisini on your list of "must visits" if you're in San Antonio - corner of Wurzbach and Fredericksburg Rd. on the NW side of town. The couple who own the place, Maria and Ezio, are from the bootheel of Italy and the food is magnifico! (I was their very first customer when they opened three years ago.)
