A clear, somewhat pallid red color. Sediment on the cork and at the bottom of the bottle. At first barnyard dominated the nose and the fruit was in hidding. It opened up after a half hour or so, however, and the poop faded to an enjoyable level. Funk & sour cherries--a nice Italian combo. A decent if unexciting budget Rosso Piceno. $6.99 at Table & Vine.

If Roberto ever gets more of Enzo Mecella's Rosso Piceno back in, grab some. I will surely grab a box. It runs a buck or two more than this one, and is still a drop dead fantastic value.

Dang, I'd love to, but I don't think he can ship to NY. Is that true Roberto?

Sure we can...

- ShortWiner - 03-27-2003

Hmm . . . excellent . . .

Carl, do you have any left? If so, can you take a picture of you and the MRS with a bottle begging for more and get it to me before I go to Italy? It may put a fire up Enzo's shipping department's rear...

I am leaving on the 7th.

Roberto

Don't have any left or empty bottles either. You can tell them we are begging for more.
