I had a Chianti classico riserva the other day, was wodering if anyone had it before.
Tenuta Borgo Scopeto 1995, payed $12 for it.
I understand Tenuta means "farm".
Bought it yesterday, drank it tonight. I was kind of suprised to see a 1995 chianti on the shelf. I wonder if this producer releases the wine late or perhaps, it's just an old bottle? I don't have much experience with sangiovese, but I enjoyed it. Compared to the Ruffino riserva, this was oakier and not as easy to drink. Anyone know anything about this particular wine? Did a search. nothing came up. Oh yes there was not a lick of english on the bottle, save an exporter's sticker on the bottle.

P.S. posted on the Novice boards, but I didn't get an anwser, perhaps this is the more appropriate place.
