Another nice Italian from a friends cellar. Deep ruby. Floral nose with tar, spice and earth in abundance. All come over on the palate along with lots of red fruit. Assertive entry, weighty center and a solid 4 lapper finish. A blend of sangiovese and cabernet they assert they were the first to make a "Super Tuscan" as they started doing this in 1968. 90/XX...XX...13.5% alc. WW

Do you think the over abundant use of assertiveness in this wine will integrate over time? I would hate to pop one several years from now only to find a wine that shows unbalanced obtrusive energy....

Seems to be in fairly good balance. Should go and improve for at least another 3-5. WW
