2004 Caparzo, Vendemmia, Rosso di Montalcino ($15.99 Micucci’s). Alcohol level: 13.5%! Acid level: High.

It showed intense ruby red to the eye. It provided lotsa red fruit including raspberries along with hints of violets and pomegranates upfront. Concentrated fruit, in the complex, dry, generous, and well balanced middle with a good bite of acid; and the finish lingered.

We matched it with Cioppino over linguini, and crusty Italian bread. Wonderful!

You just gotta love the baby Brunellos. Great wine from a great producer and when compared to the price of Brunello it's a steal!

Haven't had it in a long time....got's to get me some!
