Has anyone tried this bargain pinot grigio called Stella? It's distributed by Winebow. I think the wine master of Stella is Riccardo Cotarella.

I read a comment that Wine Advocate rated it a best buy. Has anyone tasted it?

A big wine sale in town is ending, and I'm thinking of picking up a couple bottles at a low price. I can't taste everything first.

How about "di Lenardo?"

Again, has anyone heard of "Stella?" Hey Stella!

My tasting note on the Stella Pinot Grigio says that it was very, very light and mild, without a lot of structure, but very nice for the price. We last tried it with grilled shrimp & black bass last October.
We prefer the Tommasi for a Pinot Grigio, but it's almost double the Stella's price.

Have not tried the Stella, but I have had Ecco Dommini's Pinot Grigio, and was pleased with it for the money.

I tried the Stella, and I did not enjoy it very much. It tasted thin and uninteresting. Definitely not fruity.

I think it may be true to the variatel characteristics of this type of wine in the region where it was grown, but I just do not care much for that kind of wine. I would rather spend my money on a different wine.

Next time I will try the Hogue Pinot Grigio, which received very high marks for a value-priced wine, or the Ecco Dommini. Maybe I'll like those more.

I think the ECCO DOMANI Pinot Grigio is pretty decent and it is reasonably priced.
