i've acquired a bottle of 1982 Livia Felluga picolit white dessert wine, serial number 3037,unopened. I am wondering if the 1982 vintage was any good. I've had a 1994 vintage once before, but this bottle of wine has a slightly different label and was imported by the International Vintage Wine Co., Hartford, Ct.

Don't know about 82 vintage in Friuli, but I would open that wine soon. Picolit is a strange bird--some Friulians will tell you it is a wild grape, and when you discover how it grows you can find yourself believing them. If it is a wild grape, and it is as tempermental as they say, then it might not have a steady life cycle either, but I am just guessing; never had a Picolit that old.

Wonderful dessert wine, though, especially from Felluga.
