I found a bottle of 97 Banfi Excelsus and would like to know what I have. I know that Banfi makes a great Brunello and their Rosso is pretty good too. I haven't see anything written about the Excelsus.

It's a limited release from Banfi which is a Cab/Merlot blend. Go to the below link and they talk about the wine.
