- irma - 11-28-2000 i am not familiar with this italian wine. what can you tell me about it. rating? - Botafogo - 11-29-2000 Albana di Romagna (not Brunello or Barolo!) was the first DOCG and is made in two basic styles: bone dry and slightly figgy in the manner of a good white Bordeaux or extremely rich and honedy when made from dried grapes (Albana Passito). As to ratings, exactly how does a number help you pair wine with food? I would rate them delicious to partly yummy (the Passito) with a strong "screw the critics, this is great with Parmesano-Reggiano" on the finish. Roberto - irma - 11-30-2000 you're right, who cares about ratings, i liked it too. but can't find it easily. - Botafogo - 11-30-2000 just give us a call, we'll hook you up: 1-800-WINE EXPO |
