A disappointment. Found two bottles of this at Crossroads on 14th Street in NYC and thought I'd give it a whirl. Only 25 cases produced on a small Diamond Mountain vineyard with Diamond Creek and Von Strasser as neighbors. I figured, it's gotta be good! Especially at $38 a pop.

I was wrong. Decent garnet color, cherry and some vanilla and oak on the nose, and typical barbera acidity, but then a prominent woody taste and lightweight tannins. Not supremely unpleasant, especially if you like gnawing on sticks.
