An Italian Meritage that was in one of the boxes from Roberto. Most minimalistic label I've ever encounted...No vintage nor the grapes used in the blend. Called Robo-basby and he said it was Sangiovese and 2 other varietals I cant pronounce must less spell. On to the wine. Soft supple nose with spicy, herbal, and earthy nuances. All come over on the palate plus some black fruits. Solid entry and center with a solid 3-lapper finish. 13.5% alc. Solid value at 13.99. WW

Thanks...on the lookout!

Are you not on the mailing list? If not, get thee there. As a matter of fact Roberto sent we some extra copies of latest pricelist "For your missionary work." If you want one email me. See address at "Talk to Mods."

IK, thanks for that! I'm on Roberto's email list but not his mailing list. I will send you an email.

Many thanks for that!

Have one left if anyone wants it.

The "other grapes that Verne couldn't pronouce" were Primitivo and Montepulciano. There is no vintage because the Sangiovese comes from Romagna and the others are from Puglia.

With a bit of cool coming over the area, ran downstairs and pulled this bottle. Exactly as WW described. Slightly chilled and it made for a very nice wine to go with a light tomato pasta.
