2004 di Lenardo, Cabernet dal Vigneto dal Vieris, Gonars, Graves di Friuli ($9.99 Wine Expo). Or $11.99 as it says on the bottle, but we think we paid the former. The wine is a field blend of C. Sauvignon and C. Franc; and wethinks alot of Franc. It dyes everything it comes in contact purple. Alcohol level 13%.

Whatever it is or what it costs, this is good stuff. Roberto claims it is popular with recording studios and production houses he services. Gives a nice blend of red and black fruit on the nose and upfront. Great complexity with some local dirt but no oak in the middle. Smooth without being flabby. The finish rings a few bells.

Matched it with rib eye grilled with mesquite smoke, corn bread, and salad. Wonderful.

Will be getting some more soon.
