1999 Arciero, Paso Robles, Pinot Grigio. Floral on the nose. Intensely fruity upfront, crisp and medium bodied in the middle, and a clean finish. Matched heavenly with Bay Scallop Scampi on toast with spinach. Even did a good job with the strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.

I'll bet this would have gone nicely, then, with the meal I had last night. Oysters, black beans and rice and a veggie medley consisting of zucchini, yellow squash, red onions, red peppers, green peppers lightly covered with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

The oysters were fried, but the batter was very light and tempura-like. I had pinot grigio with this meal, but it was a house wine and I did not pay attention to the source.

If your state lawsuite comes out possitive, you can join the Arciero Wine Club, which I would highly recommend.
