Todd and Arlette (sitting next to me)shared some of their bottle of this Amarone. I was having warm chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream and the Amarone paired quite well with the chocolate I thought. They were afraid the Amarone was too young but I thought it was drinking nicely. It had a very nice nose suggesting something floral (violets perhaps) and maybe dark plums, but not too raisiny. Very smooth and attractive. Thanks, Todd and Arlette!
