One of the nicest Sangiovese offerings from California I've had. Very dark in the glass with a nose of black cherry and leather. A rich, lush Sangiovese, with balancing acidity, international style, but with nice earth, leather and mushroom notes. Very nice wine. $21. 14.1% Alc/vol.

Popped our last bottle last night and WOW, what a delight. I didn't expect how savory sweet this wine had become. At it's peak it displayed that stand out, subtle sweetness that a fine custard or brulee shows when done right. Eileen and I with friend Ann just paused with pleasurable disbelief on our faces at how nice this wine was, and on our last night in Ocean City it was a beautiful end to an 18 day vacation. Whew...I need a vacation.
