One of the best barberas I've ever had. And that is saying a lot about one of my favorite varietals.
Beautiful nose of cherry cordials. The chocolate covered cherry flavor carries over into the mouth, with a surprisingly light acidity for a barbera.
I tasted this wine when one of our importers came in to do a tasting, so I had no clue what it cost when tasting it. I would pay $20/btl for it, and we'll be selling it for $10. A steal at the price.
