It's a Santa Maria Valley wine.

Nose and entry reminiscent of the 2000 Adelsheim (see my earlier post on that for a more complete description, but let's just say "barnyard" here). Kinda tart cherries, and it is a bit thin. Not much else here, save for some cinnimon on the finish. Finish is a touch short. Maybe it's just too young, but I don't see much here that would suggest aging would help it. All in all, not a favorite and I wouldn't buy it again, especially at a $35 price tag. Bought it in Chicago at Binny's on a staff rec. FWIW, and if you can believe it, got a rating of 79 from the WS, but a 90 from Wine Enthusiast. Guess which one I agree with . . .
