The 2nd of the 3 bottlings from this outstanding producer. Brite deep ruby. Loads of red fruits, deep-flavors with plum, cherry, and wild berries, some nice spicy notes, earth and smoke, with a solid core of tannins. Balanced and approachable but has considerable taannins in the back that'll take another 3-5 to resolve. A real killer Santa Barbara Pinot. 92/93. 39 per.14.3% alc. WW

Had this last nite. The nose is evolving nicely. Core of red fruits, straw and raspberries, smokey components with some solid meaty notes. The entry is supple, a solid center and the finish is a 4 lapper. Super juice. Still can use another 1-3 to shed some sweet tannins. No change in scoring. WW

BRW and I had this at our Thursday prayer meeting yesterday. Complex nose has developed nicely over the last few months. Not a lot more to add. No change in scoring. WW

Opened another for lunch yesterday to go with baked chicken breasts. A nice food wine and very good by itself. Seems to be fleshing out and the tannins are receding. Close to TTOIG. No increase in scoring. WW

Last of the 02 South went South for lunch yesterday. Easy to see what all the hoopla was originally about this vineyard. About as much as you can expect from the St. Rita area. Lovely stuff. No change in scoring. WW
