I had dinner with a bunch of friends at a Chinese restaurant in San Mateo. Also brought along with us were four Riedel, three decanters....my friends are serious...

2003 Joseph Roty Givery Chambertin - Nice Nose. A bit floral, ripe red and darker fruits. While ripe, still very elegant and balanced and still some minerality. Red fruits, cherries and a very long finish. Tannins were noticable on the end.....served with duck. $50 per bottle

Sure hope the duck was good!

Duck was not bad....just not enough of it to go around and around......
