Oops-spelled the name wrong in the heading--it should be Geantet-Pansiot.
3 oz. pour
Burgundy color, bubbles all around the rim.
Can barely see fingers holding the glass through the wine. Dark cherry/raspberry nose with a bit of spice. Not too much material on the palate at first. I let it sit a while to breathe. A bit disappointing for a Grand Cru? I was perhaps expecting more. However, it was better after some aeration and with food, especially with the mushrooms (rabbit tenderloin with sweet winter mushrooms. green beans, papardelle). The wine might have a very slight truffle flavor along with dark fruits. I probably wouldn't rush out to buy this at what it would cost, but it was a nice accompaniment to my dinner dish. (And a chance to try another Burgundy Grand Cru without purchasing the bottle).
