My husband and I are attending a "Pajamas and Pinot Noirs" wine tasting party this weekend. We have selected a 1999 David Bruce and a 1999 Flynn. At this party we have to share a simple fact about each wine we bring. My husband and I are not familiar with Pinot Noirs so I would appreciate any help you could give. Our facts and wines are rated on a point system throughout the year and so far my husband and I are in the lead. I would hate to loose now. Thank you for any help you can give me.

hi smlicki,

welcome to the wine board. could you indicate whether you have to give a detail about that particular wine (as in the david bruce), or whether you have to talk about the varietal (as in pinot noir in general)? once you clarify that, i'm sure someone can help you out.

if it comes down to it, do a quick web search using the names of the wineries. their websites almost always have descriptions of their wines and talk about the vineyards and the winemaking process. surely there'd be a good detail or two in there.

good luck!

smlicki,
Your wine tastings sound fun. What wines have you liked best so far?

So far my favorites have been cabernet's. I love the 97' Fransiscan. However, I can't seem to find it anymore. The stores say the 97' series has been depleted.
