The '02s I've tasted have certainly shown well.

How do they compare to the 01s? I've been told 01 was a good year. I think it would be interesting to sit down with a bottle from each and compare head to head. I've never done that, but it would give me a chance to see if I, being a novice can tell the difference.

Quite a run of good vintages in OR. 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 -- all nice vintages. Be careful with 2003 -- try before you buy -- it was a very hot year with high alcohol, low acids and poor balance in many wines.
