Now I get IT! This top bottling from this outstanding new vineyard deserves all the kudos it's received. Brilliant ruby. The expressive nose defines American pinot. Made from a blend of 10 different Pinot clones on their estate high in the hills above Lompoc. Supple entry, heavy-weight center and a solid 5-lapper classic finish. The berry fruits hit the palate like Joe Frazier and earth, and leather add complexity in the background. Used up a third of my total inventory with this bottle but strongly suggest any of you pinot lovers to get on their mailing list if possible. All 3 of their bottlings are killers. 96/92 55. 14.5% alc. WW

Where is Lompoc?

- Kcwhippet - 12-31-2005

Lompoc is down near Santa Barbara - actually closer to Vandenberg AFB.

Sorry... Lompoc, Ca. Think this is the famous Santa Rita Hills district. WW

That be it.

Sideways land!

No B. Most of the vineyards are horizontal. ww
